ANXIETY & FEAR

One week after our East Coast Conference I can truly say that I have reflected on a lot in my life. In some instances, I thought to myself Wow what a busy week, I can't keep up, and I definitely find it hard to believe I am turning 30 years old. I realized that I was feeling nervous about it all. In reality, it was all the anxiety that I was feeling. Anxieties that are in this world somehow begin to form in my heart and my mind. It's easy to call something wisdom and really the thought is truly rooted in fear. It is easy to let the fear of the future or anxiety from the past step into your present. It takes a lot of self-control to be able to remove the thoughts in your soul. Self-control is hard but it is beneficial in every other area in life right? So why not maintain that control in your spirit. God is the only one who gives us the strength to do so. It is our responsibility to allow God to help us in this process. The bible says " Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ". What does that mean? It means if these ideas full of fear of the unknown take root in your heart they begin to be an idol and before you know it you are dwelling more and more on these unknowns and not reality. If we are the children of God how can we allow these low thoughts to become high? Why do these small things become magnified and before you know it, they will run your life. Wow, Come on y'all. That's a word right there. We all have this struggle and some more than others. I can truly say that it is our enemy's tactics. Ultimate deception from the truth. We are children of God - let us believe GOD and stop letting the enemy have our mind. The bible says" So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”For his, Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ, we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are."

Who else needs to affirm us? The maker of Heaven and Earth has called us sons and daughters so let us walk like we know who we are in Christ Jesus. No longer letting fear or anxiety to torment us and our future. Our Father in Heaven has chosen us in our mother's womb. He has his eye on us and nothing is out of his sight. He knows the hairs on our heads and as each one falls to the ground. What a love he has for us AND HIS PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT ALL FEAR.

PRAY THIS PRAYER WITH ME:

FATHER, I COME TO YOU NOW ASKING FOR YOUR HELP WITHIN THE DEPTH OF MY HEART. I KNOW I STRUGGLE IN MY THOUGHTS AND MOST TIMES THEY ARE IN FEAR. I PRAY THAT MY MIND AND HEART WILL BE FOCUSED ON YOUR WORD AND YOUR TRUTH. THAT AS I HEAR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS BECOME AN IDOL IN MY HEART THAT YOUR WORD BE SOUND OFF LIKE AN ALARM IN MY SPIRIT. I LOVE YOU AND I TRUST HOLY SPIRIT AS THE PERFECT HELPER YOU CAN HELP ME IN MY THOUGHT LIFE. I LOVE YOU AND ALLOW ME TO MEDITATE ON YOUR WORD DAY AND NIGHT TO BE ABLE TO COMBAT THESE BATTLES IN MY MIND IN THE NAME OF JESUS AMEN.
