FEAR GO

Fear GO ! Holy Spirit Come! I heard an amazing chant from a worship team at Mercy Culture Church that blessed my life! It illuminated my reality and immediately I agreed with the message that was coming from the saints. I found fear has come to grip me. It has come to keep me bound and paralyzed from my future. However, I must invite the Holy Spirit in to guide me and take over and to give me the perspective I need to continue this walk with Jesus. Fear does not have to rule my thoughts anymore.

Fear GO Holy Spirit COME! Have your way in my life.

2 Timothy 1: 6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity,but of power, love,and self-control.8So do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, or of me, His prisoner.

I can truly say Fear has been an enemy all of my life and it has been around every corner. How many of you can relate? If I just had one opportunity to be able to throw down (meaning to get into a fight) one time it would be a wrap! Unfortunately, I can't deal with fear in that manner. Fear has to be dealt with in a less tangible way but nevertheless the fight is very real.

As I write this today, I am telling you fear is real in my life and I don't deny that. I can struggle with fear of failing, fear of the future, fear of rejection, fear of wrong decisions etc. We can talk about nice things like Joy and Love but I think its important to explain that fear is real and it can be overcome! Yes, it is possible.

So how do I overcome fear? Well, it's a challenge but I will place below things I do to help me face it head on.

Faith

Have faith that something will change. Keep a positive Faith Filled attitude that Jesus will see you through the battle you're facing. Believe again! Fear does not have the power to remove the Faith you can put into God and His Word. Believe His promises for you are "Yes and Amen". Believe he has a "Future and a Hope for you". Believe that his grace is sufficient in the trails and challenges in your life. Jesus tell us we will have trouble in this world but to take heart for He has overcome the world. So let Him show you how to overcome! Do what Jesus did! Rely on the Father to guide you through your moments of fear! It has helped me at my lowest and I am sure it will help you.

Romans 1:17 For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish,just as it is written:“The righteous will live by faith.”

Acts 3:16 By faith in the name of Jesus,this man whom you see and know has been made strong.It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him that has given him this complete healing in your presence.

Hebrews 13:7

Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

Confess

Yes, Confess it! Why because it is important to acknowledge where you are at to those around you. Be honest and ask for help. Ask for accoutability. Let God help you and let your brothers and sisters help you while your in the pit. It is awesome to talk about the good stuff but lets be real with the hard stuff too. If you truly want to be free, break the silence of shame. Expose the darkness! The enemy would love to keep you bound in Fear for the rest of your life. Expose him and watch how quickly your perspective will turn around. Declare the Word of the Lord over your situation and rely on Holy Spirit to direct you in all things. He does promise to lead us into all truth. The enemy has distorted the truth too long. Don't let him win in your life.

Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Take Action

MOVE,YES make a move! Fear has kept you and I stuck way too long. I can truly say it has done a good work on me in many seasons of my life. It has held me back from opportunities and I regret how much time I have lost because of it. Make a decision to do something about it! What have you been wanting to and have been afraid? What is a dream or desire you have a fear stopped you? Think about it. I challenge you to do one thing and do it in the name of conquering fear! Let's use the hashtag #imnotafraidanymore ! Show me what you do in the face of fear! I would love to hear your story!

James 2:21 Was not our father Abraham justified by what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that this faith was working with his actions,and his faith was perfected by what he did.

2 Peter 1:5-8 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let this chant be our anthem! I love you all and I want Gods absolutely best for you. Come on and say it with me" Fear don't live here anymore!"
