HURT & HEALED

Hurt.

Pain.

Depression.

Anxiety.

Fear.

Rejection.

Abandonment.

I was sitting down and I had a vision of the word HURT. I know that writing about HURT isn't a popular thing but it's what I saw and I believe Jesus is after something in us. It may make people feel uncomfortable because it’s exposing something but it is necessary to deal with. HURT is real and it is a very vulnerable place to share the truth of where you are at or where you have been.

I know there are people who talk about pain and they often dwell on the situations they have been through. Now, there is the thing where I draw the line at. I am ok to talk about "pain" but my goal is to get you HEALED and that is only through JESUS that you can be healed from the inside out. I will not be one to continually dwell on issue because something we cannot change but one thing we can do , is change ourselves. We can change our perspective and our position ( that's a word all in itself ).

I am so grateful for Jesus to hear where I am and He does not run from me, but towards me. Our God isn’t afraid of how angry or hurt we are. He doesn’t judge the pain. Everyone hurts, he hurt at one point. We see the agony he faced with betrayal , rejection and especially on his way to Calvary for you and me. isn’t it beautiful that the hurt he faced didn’t stop him. Jesus surrendered himself physically and emotionally. He battled with His flesh in The Garden of Gethsemane. Read Below.

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

Matthew 26:36 Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.” 37 And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch[a]with me.” 39 And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

What if Jesus didn't surrender?

What if he didn't go to pray that prayer?

Remember Jesus was just as human as he was God. He didn't have to do anything but he desired to please his Father so he surrendered his will. (SUCH LOVE <3)

John 8:28 So Jesus said,“When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I do nothing on my own but say only what the Father taught me.29 And the one who sent me is with me—he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.”30 Then many who heard him say these things believed in him.

The list above are just a few things we can experience as humans on earth. Very real and very raw feelings. Life events take place and often times we can resort back to these same emotions because pain is real. Studies show the going through emotional pain and physical pain are not similar. Emotional pain is actually considered worse as memories can actually trigger emotional pain.

"Physical pain usually leaves few echoes (unless the circumstance of the injury was emotionally traumatic) while emotional pain leaves numerous reminders, associations, and triggers that reactivate our pain when we encounter them." - Psychology Today

Pain is so deep, especially when you have been traumatized by life experiences.Sometimes if we don’t heal we will see things through that vantage point alone. I myself have been guilty of letting my past dictate my future. It affected my closest relationships and it really did a number on me. I had to take some time to heal and it was horrible and beautiful all at the same time. I thank God for that season in my life. I don't regret it one bit.

I submitted and surrender myself to a team of people who loved and cared for me. A team of people who loved me and counseled me through years of pain. I felt safe around them.

Proverbs 11:4 Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisers.

So why am I writing all of this? It is because pain is real and it must be dealt with. The world is in a lot of pain right now and the cure is Jesus. Jesus came to heal the broken hearted and let me tell you he understands. He wants to heal you from the inside out. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 Jesus came to heal, to bind up and to love us through it all. What an amazing God. No other God like him.

Here are a few tips:

Cry it out!

Write it out!

Worship your way through!

Jesus wants you to be real and raw before him, it is there where he can fix you. However, don't neglect what's there. Do not let it hinder you in relationships any long. Process the pain. If you leave it unmanaged and untouched it will affect you in every way. Yes, it is hard but nothing changes overnight. Get around people to help you heal properly. My relationship with the The Lord changed forever because of it.

Jesus is the ultimate comfort.

He will give you peace.

Jesus is the healer I always needed.

He is the one I always count on when the systems of the world fail, when relationships fail, and when my problems seem to be crashing down on me.I look to Father God. Trials they do help build me in my faith. When trials come , it is an opportunity to live out what I truly believe. And I do believe The Maker of Heaven and Earth will not only bring me through but I do believe he prepares me in advance.

All these are reasons we should give our emotional health just as much (if not more) attention and care as we do our physical health. Alas, we rarely do. While we take action at the first sight of a sniffle or muscle sprain we do little to ‘treat’ common emotional injuries such as rejection, failure, guilt, brooding, or loneliness when we sustain them. While we apply antibacterial ointment to a cut or scrape right away, we do little to boost or protect our self-esteem when it is low. - Psychology Today,

Never Lost by Rita Springer

Wind, listen to the sound of power on my lips

Jesus has broken the curse, he has never lost a battle

Who are you great mountain, that you should not bow low

Jesus defeated the darkness, he has never lost a battle

Do you FEEL it ? Are you in PAIN ? Don't you dare stay there! I know you can be BRAVE and move forward! All you have to do is surrender to Jesus. Let the Holy Spirit show you the people to connect with. You have it in you to succeed. Don't let anything hold you back from your healing journey.

Lord I pray for every brother or sister who reads this blog today, that not only would you remind them of what they have already conquered, but that you show them they can still conquer. I pray that if anyone is struggling with pain of any kind that you would surround them with your great love! Holy Spirit that you would show them who they should reach out to so they can get past the emotional pain they are struggling with. Jesus, you said you came to heal the broken heart so I ask that you would do that just for them. I pray you place people in there corner who would guide them through their process. Lord, you complete what you start so I know you will carry them through, You are worthy to be praised. I love you Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Yes I have been Hurt, but I am HEALED In Jesus Name!
