I am in Awe of God!

Taken by @captivatdlc

Today as I wait for my Husband to step out of the office of immigration I wait in nervousness yes! I mean seriously who wouldn’t be nervous! It’s like going through all the airport check-in and have no place to travel to but a waiting room. Hate these serious places lol! You never know when you can joke with these people, and I love to joke! Not in that place :-) Anywho...

On the lighter note if he walks out with passing the test it would be the start of something new for us! We would be free to travel freely together as God has called us to do. One thing we knew when God was calling together was for a life of missions. Both locally and globally. We make no hesitating for local outreach opportunities to reach our community but there is something about being called overseas.

I have been on several missions trips out of the U.S.A. but I did not know God would place me with a man who would do the same! What a privilege and an honor that we have the same desire to spread the gospel, to teach and encourage the saints. Wow! God is amazing.

When I look over my life I have many times asked the Lord why? Why have things been so difficult for me. What so many blockages in life? Why so many hindrances to peace? Why so much depression? Why so much rejection? I’m taken back to the story of Joseph.

Joseph was rejected over and over again. But the interesting thing is Joseph seemed to always be in a sweet spot with God. The favor of the Lord was all over him in every season of his life, even in prison. God's faithful hand was guiding him everywhere. See when I think back his experience I get frustrated for him but in spite of all that he went through, he never once took it out on his family or the people around him. He honored them and blessed them. Wow. What courage that took after all he went through because of the dreams, his family rejected him. Have you ever felt rejected for who you are?

Joseph could have easily held a grudge and he could have embarrassed them for what they did. He could have boasted in all that was under his authority. Instead he choose honor. So why do I say all of this.

OUR MIGHTY GOD will use your story no matter how bad it was or it is. Jesus can change your life if you let him. He can use all your good and bad experiences to accomplish his will for your life. Do not get discouraged because of all of the twist and turns in life. God is still working and He is still amazing. He doesn't change. He is constant. He is GOOD. Never forget to be close to God in all seasons of Life. In the good and in the bad stay in that sweet spot with God. Keep your heart pure and God will surely come through.

Think about this, He is a God who is Sovereign over all and still chooses us , and allows us to petition him. How can we pray to a God who knows everything to happen next? How does he give us the privilege of hearing our heart in all of our seasons. What a wonderful and compassionate God we serve, He is incredible.

And guess what.........

My husband got his citizenship!

JESUS did it

I will leave you with this.

Hebrews 12:28-29 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. 29For our God is a devouring fire.

Let us be thankful in all of our seasons. Pray this prayer with me:

Father forgive me if I have been ungrateful. Teach me how to keep my heart pure. Reveal to me the wrong motives and intentions in my heart. I want my life to glorify your name forever! I want to hear the words, well done! Help me on my journey to trust you more and more. Help my faith. I trust you to take care of me because you are faithful. In Jesus name. Amen

Blessings

Shanyse Nicole.
