FREEDOM ✅💸

Updated: Jan 19, 2020

Free. Freedom is one of the most sought after things in the world. People fight for freedom, people pay for freedom, people wait for freedom and people sacrifice for freedom. Let us go over the definition of freedom.

Freedom: the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved

We as human beings want to be free. You may be thinking WHY I am talking about freedom so much! Well, the truth is that many of us are a slave to our debt. I know for myself I did not always have a great relationship with money and because of that, I did not always make the right decision and I ended up in debt.

When I first heard about a credit card, I thought it was the best thing ever invented in life! Like free moneyyyyyy! Oh yea! However, it actually was never free. My first credit card that was once a blessing became a curse. A curse of about 29% of interest on top of the money I spent, not to mention I went over the $500.00 limit Also! Yikes.

I was not educated on how to use a credit card. Nor did I know the purpose of a credit card. Next thing you know, I am paying back hundreds of dollars of interest. What was once helpful has now become burden to me and took years to fix.

Credit is something the credit bureau gives to people to test their integrity of a person. If they lend you, credit they want to see what you will do with it and can you pay it back. If you can pay it back on Time and you use your CREDIT wisely, you will be eligible for more credit.

Investopedia explains credit like this:

A credit score is a statistical number that evaluates a consumer's creditworthiness and is based on credit history. Lenders use credit scores to evaluate the probability that an individual will repay his or her debts. A person's credit score ranges from 300 to 850, and the higher the score, the more financially trustworthy a person is considered to be.

In other words, credit helps to determine that you and I can pay back money if loaned to us. Is credit necessary for us to survive in this economy? Yes and No. Do you need credit to purchase everything? No, however if you want something you do not have money for, the only way to get it is on credit. I think this is what is wrong with the world’s financial system. We are inpatient humans who want things now. We do not want to wait until we have cash or wait to save up for something of high value. We have a now mentality that can get us into trouble.

I grew up believing everyone was struggling. No one had the financial solution to real freedom. Everyone was in debt and everyone needed to borrow from everyone else thought, “That’s just life”. Until I realized it could not be, we have control of our own life. I made the choice to get into debt I will make the choice to get out of debt. Therefore, I started my journey to financial freedom when I was 17 years old and I do not regret it one bit.

What I have learned so far is being Debt free Brings such a peace to you mind and to your life overall. You have freedom for your future and priorities are truly in order. Money is no longer a burden. You really begin to take control of your money and your money stops having control over you.

Who doesn’t want to be free from this world’s economy! I don’t know about you but I do. If you are interested in talking about financial tips, financial security, budgeting questions, Please leave a comment below!
